Video Tutorial

Watch this comprehensive video tutorial to understand the complete process visually. The video covers everything from finding Steam AppIDs to adding games to your library.

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Find Steam AppID

Go to SteamDB.info and search for the game you want to add. Copy the AppID from the game's page.
Visit SteamDB.info
2

Generate Manifest

Go to manifesthub.uk and paste the AppID into the input field. Click "Generate" to create your manifest file.
Go to ManifestHub
3

Download Files

Click the download link to get a ZIP file containing the manifest and Lua files. Save it to an easily accessible location on your computer.
4

Extract Files

Unzip the downloaded file. You should see files with extensions like .manifest and .lua.
5

Use SteamTools

Open SteamTools and drag all the extracted files into the application. SteamTools will automatically process and add them to your Steam library.
6

Restart Steam

Restart your Steam client. The game will now appear in your library and you can download or play it directly.

Important Notes & Limitations

DRM & 3rd Party Games

Games with DRM (like Denuvo) or those requiring third-party launchers/accounts will NOT work. The game needs to launch directly through Steam without additional verification.

Personal Experience

I've been using SteamTools for over 2 years without any issues. Steam doesn't monitor offline gameplay, even for paid games. Your account remains safe.

Recommended Source

For reliable manifests, I recommend using manifesthub.uk. It's regularly updated and maintained for optimal compatibility.

How It Works (Technical)

The Technical Process

Steam has three main components: your account data in Steam's database, the Steam servers with game packages, and your local Steam installation.

When you create the Lua Manifest, you're telling YOUR local Steam client: "HEY! I HAVE THIS GAME". This sends a direct download ping to and from Steam's game/installation servers, bypassing account management and restrictions. This means you can download any program, games, OST, or video on Steam.

What You CAN Do:

  • Download games directly from Steam's servers
  • Play offline-compatible games without restrictions
  • Access game content like OSTs and videos
  • Use software available on Steam

What You CANNOT Do:

  • Play games requiring online verification/DRM
  • Access publisher servers for online features
  • Receive automatic game updates
  • Use features tied to Steam account ownership

Why can't you play certain games? Because you don't have the license tied to your account (remember how it bypasses Steam accounts to download?), which DRM-protected and online content check for when validating users.

IMPORTANT: You will NOT get banned, risk damage to your Steam account, get flagged, or be banned by publishers/developers. You simply won't be able to use content that requires verification.
